In exciting news from the University of Arizona, a new scorpion antivenom (called Anascorp) was described. This antivenom was developed in Mexico by the Institute Bioclon and, in a unique collaboration with the University of Arizona where clinical trials were conducted, was approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in the United States.
